A downloadable game for Windows
A regular game of chess has been played and you are left to pick up the pieces. Return your pieces to the starting board state by subverting cause and effect to reverse your moves.
Made during the GMTK 2023 gamejam with the theme "Roles Reversed".

As an avid chess fan I had to try this out. The presentation feels really clean. I didn't fully figure it out, but here it feels like I'd rather want to come back and play it more when I have more time. I figured out I could move my queen forward do un-promote it to a pawn which felt cool. Didn't fully see why I got ( ! ) sometimes, but more on me to explore it.
